The TPP Pregnancy and Postnatal programme was created by Aoife Hannon; a Physiotherapist, Pilates instructor and Mom. Aoife wanted to create a programme of classes for every stage of pregnancy and postpartum to help new Mom’s feel their best. With over 250+ classes, guides for each trimester and different programmes, our classes will guide you through every stage of pregnancy and your postnatal journey.

Whether you’re an expecting Mom looking for a safe but challenging workout or you want gentle classes to manage pelvic pain, we have something for you. With Aoife’s knowledge as a Physiotherapist, combined with her own pregnancy and postpartum experience, she has an appreciation for the importance of core and pelvic floor exercises. This ensures that you get a well-rounded and effective workout.

We want our classes to help you feel strong and empowered as you navigate your own pregnancy and post-partum journey.

Postnatal Core & Pelvic Floor Recovery Programme

This is a 4-Week Programme designed to strengthen your core & pelvic floor muscles. Aoife combines her knowledge as a Physiotherapist and her experience as a new Mom to bring you an effective, but manageable programme.
This 4 weeks of classes are specifically for your early weeks postpartum. They are not about breaking a sweat, but about slow controlled movements that will help connect you back to your core and pelvic floor. This is a foundational programme that will set you up for success as you start to rebuild strength with our Postnatal Sculpt Programme or as you begin to return to your regular exercise.

How do I sign up to pregnancy or postnatal Pilates?

By signing up to our monthly or annual subscription, you will get access to all of our pregnancy/postnatal Pilates classes and programmes.

Can I start Pilates in pregnancy if I have never done Pilates before?

Yes, Pilates is gentle enough that even if you haven’t done it before, you can begin in pregnancy. We recommend our 4-Week Gentle Programme to ease yourself in.

What equipment do I need?

You don’t need any specific equipment to start our pregnancy Pilates classes. We recommend starting with our bodyweight classes and focusing on your form.
Some of the sculpt and focused classes will use hand weights (1.5 – 2kg recommended) and a small Pilates ball (7-10″).
If you are doing our more challenging pregnancy strength classes, heavier weights are recommended (3-4kg).
For our labour preparation classes, we use a large yoga ball.

For our Postnatal classes, we recommend a Pilates ball and light hand weights.

I have some medical concerns, can I still do pregnancy Pilates?

For any medical or injury concerns, we recommend speaking with your GP or consultant to get clearance from them to exercise before starting our classes.

When do I need to switch from regular Pilates to pregnancy Pilates?

We recommend switching to our pregnancy specific classes no later than 12-weeks of pregnancy.

How long after I have my baby can I start the Core & Pelvic Floor Recovery programme?

Every labour, delivery and recovery is different, but in general, vaginal births mean you can start as soon as you’re home from the hospital and once your pain has settled. If you have had a c-section, we recommend waiting 2-3 weeks. This programme is rehab based rather than exercise based. It focuses specifically on the core and pelvic floor muscles.

How long after I have my baby can I start the Postnatal Sculpt Programme?

We recommend waiting 6-weeks or until you have clearance from your GP or consultant before you return to exercise. If you complete the Postnatal Sculpt Programme and feel ready to progress on, you can then return to our regular classes.
