The September I Decided To Start
31 Aug 2025
This is our mantra for our 4-Week September Challenge. What we love about it is that you are
setting the goal for yourself. You are making a commitment to what you
want to get out of these 4 weeks. Whether you want to start Pilates for the first time, you
want to start doing some more challenging classes or you simply want to start being more
consistent with your exercise; you are STARTING and that’s what it’s all about.
The word “challenge” can often be intimidating or be associated with a start and end
period. We want this commitment to be so much more than that. It’s about setting a new
standard and creating a routine that you can stick to long after the 4-weeks have ended. So,
we wanted to share some tips for how best to approach this challenge in order to ensure
you get the most out of it, long term.
Tips for STARTING and COMMITTING
Set Your Intentions
Decide WHY you want to start and make that your intention. Make it something deeper
than “losing weight”. Focus on health, energy, longevity, feeling strong, reducing pain;
something that won’t waver with your motivation. On days that you are struggling to find
the energy to get on your mat, remember your intention and that commitment that you
made to yourself.
Commit To Less, But Be Consistent
Ok hear us out on this one. We know that consistency is the key to seeing results and feeling
our best. We’ve all been there where we overcommit to an exercise routine ahead of a big
event, only to then “fall off the wagon” completely after said event has passed. Well, we need to
let go of that mindset. Imagine feeling good ALL of the time and not feeling pressure to “be
extra disciplined” ahead of big events or occasions. The key to that, is starting small and
building on it. We need to be realistic and think about what we can commit to in order to be
consistent long term.
So, for these 4-weeks, choose a schedule as a guide, but adjust it to suit you. Maybe you go
for a gentler option than you usually would, or maybe you swap classes around to suit your
life or you switch a 30-minute class for a 15-minute class on a busy day.
Make it work for you, enjoy it and you will honestly begin to crave the movement with time.
It will just become part of who you are and part of your weekly routine that is a non-
negotiable. It takes time to get there, but STARTING SMALL is the key.
Be Kind To Yourself
Finally, as you move through this challenge, be kind to yourself. If things don’t go exactly
to plan, don’t just give up. How you talk to yourself is so important and it’s a really big
part of how we look after ourselves. Remember why you started, what your intentions
are and how you want to feel, long term. We’re in this together and I’m with you every step of the way.
